Rothware was a small family owned software company, now defunct, specializing in Christian-themed computer games for the PC. Their one released title was called Qoheleth (koh HEL leth), a Hebrew word meaning "teacher". Qoheleth is a high quality side-scrolling action game that not only teaches the order of the books of the Bible but also uses a special technique to teach 3 key truths from each of the 66 books of Scripture.

Meet the Rothware team:

Tim Roth

Tim is Daniel's and Elizabeth's father. He is still working as an appraiser for the Kittitas County Assessors Office in Ellensburg, Washington. He spent nearly a year composing the Study Guide and Bible questions for Qoheleth. Tim also has a B.A. in Music from Central Washington University, and arranged and sequenced the MIDI music for Qoheleth.

Daniel Roth

Daniel is currently 27 years old and recently graduated from Yakima Valley Community College with an Associate of Arts degree. Daniel has been tinkering around with programming since he was 10 years old and spent a lot of his free time from the ages of 15 to 17 working on Qoheleth. He currently runs a small software company, StarQuail Productions, with his old friend Michael Stearns.

Michael Stearns

Daniel's friend Michael is also currently 27 and graduated from Central Washington University's Japanese language program in 2002 with a bachelor's degree. He is a highly gifted artist who designed all of the artwork and graphics for Qoheleth, including the playing characters, animals, tiles from which the playing levels are built, and the artwork on the cover of the registered version study guide and manual! Michael is currently employed at a local gift shop and is developing future games with Daniel.

Ben Roth
Ben is Daniel's and Elizabeth's uncle. Ben bought 20 years of programming experience to the installation program, menuing systems, and dialog boxes. He also helped to optimize the source code for the game engine. Ben, along with his wife Karen, is currently attending Yakima Valley Community College.
Elizabeth Roth
Daniel's sister Elizabeth, who is now 24, designed four of the five Old Testament levels found in Qoheleth. She also tested the entire game extensively. Elizabeth is currently residing in Selah with her fiance and works as an IT professional in the banking industry.
