THE STUDY GUIDE
The Study Guide is the educational centerpiece of Qoheleth and an integral part of the game. This comb-bound book contains 250 pages of
fascinating background and insights in an attractive full color layout.
The Guide clarifies and expands each of the 198 lessons encountered during game play.
The Study Guide comes with suggested approaches to covering the material, and can be easily used by:
The study guide devotes a page to each book of the Bible, dividing each lesson for each book into three parts:
The learning objectives are concise summaries of what should be learned from a lesson. Players should be able to identify the learning objective when they have finished the playing levels associated with it.
The expanded explanations are exactly that: a more detailed explanation of the substance and background of each lesson. When appropriate, chapter and verse references are given.
SpringBoards can be used to launch further study and discussion related to the lesson. Almost all SpringBoards involve reading a passage of Scripture, so have a Bible handy! Players will be asked questions requiring careful reading and thinking. Suggested answers to SpringBoard questions are included at the back of the study guide.

There is a tremendous amount of information available in the Study Guide. It can be a bit overwhelming at first, and that is why we include suggestions in the introduction that provide detailed ideas on how to use the Guide. We also include some possible plans to cover all the material in a systematic manner.
If you play all 20 levels of Qoheleth, you will know the order of the books of the Bible, and you will likely remember many of the 3 lessons from each of those books. If you use the Study Guide along with the game, you will gain a thorough education in the entire Bible!
