MS-DOS Download Instructions

STEP 1 (CREATING A TEMPORARY DIRECTORY):

If you are running MS-DOS version 5.0 or above and have the PKZIP package installed and included in your "PATH" statement, follow these instructions:

You may now proceed to step 2.

STEP 2 (DOWNLOADING QOHELETH.ZIP):

Please consult your browser documentation on how to download a file. Make sure you put the file in your newly created directory, "C:\QOINSTALL", before proceeding to step 3.

STEP 3 (UNCOMPRESSING QOHELETH.ZIP):

(If you got a message saying "Bad command or file name" when you typed "pkunzip qoheleth.zip", then you either don't have the PKZIP package installed or the directory it resides in is not in your "PATH" statement. Please refer to the PKZIP manual for instructions on how to modify your "PATH" statement.)

(If you got the error "PKUNZIP: (E09) can't find: qoheleth.zip", then the QOHELETH.ZIP file is not in your current directory. Check to make sure you are in the right directory by looking at your command prompt. The command prompt is the text displayed before the blinking cursor, and it should say "C:\QOINSTALL>". If you are indeed in the QOINSTALL directory and PKUNZIP can't find QOHELETH.ZIP, then go back to step 2 and repeat the process of downloading the QOHELETH.ZIP file.)

STEP 4 (RUNNING INSTALL.EXE):

At the C:\QOINSTALL> prompt, type "install [Enter]". Follow the instructions given by the installation program. We recommend you accept the default settings of the installation program unless you are familiar with manipulating your directory structures.
